Before the first soul.
A lantern, a strange little companion and a shrine in the mist. Desecration now opens with a short film, music and a slow title reveal.

Shaun brought back a thirty-second Higgsfield Genjutsu film built around the Lantern Mire imagery. We added music and the closing title, reviewed a preview, then fitted the finished sequence into the game. You can watch that finished film above.
Light before the title
Crooked trees, warm lanterns and cold soul light carry the scene. A wizard and small companion approach the wooden shrine; DESECRATION fades into the closing view. The aim is a brief invitation into the swamp before the player chooses a patron.
The Summoning gives the sequence its orchestral weight. The title arrives near the end, then picture and music fade away together. The music credit lives below this player and in the game’s optional Credits screen, leaving the film itself clear.
From film to first launch
The Mac game now plays the intro automatically on first launch. Escape, Space or a left click skips to the welcome screen. Watch intro lets you replay it later without resetting your settings.
Playback uses the saved volume, preserves the full image at different window shapes and pauses when the application loses focus. The menu ambience stops during the film and fades back when it ends. In Godot, the title is drawn as native interface text so it stays sharp as the window changes size.
Back to the mire
The final Mac build passed the full playback, skipping, replay, settings and menu checks. Native computer use confirmed the film returning to the welcome screen, replay and Escape skip, the Credits screen and the four-god picker. The previous playable build is preserved.
Shaun liked the preview; the next hands-on run will judge the soundtrack mix and the transition into play. This increment adds the opening sequence without changing combat, creatures or the soul economy. The four factions are ready for a playtest together.
